Who, or what, is Janjobe? The name “Janjobe” is a compilation of the first names of of the gallery founders.
Where is Gallery Janjobe located? In the courtyard at the Melwood Arts and Entertainment Center in Louisville, Kentucky. For detailed directions please see our location map page.
Where does your artwork come from? We represent the work of artists from all over the country. Some of our artists are friends from shows we do and guilds we belong to and some we just fall in love with their work. We strive to find artists not well represented in the area and of course find work that has attitude.
How do you find your artists? We have many chances to discover new artists when we exhibit individually at art shows. If you are interested in submitting work for consideration please contact us through this site.
Do you have special exhibits, one-man shows, group shows? Yes, you can count on seeing all the above type of shows throughout the year. As shows are planned details will be posted to this website in our “News from Gallery Janjobe” side-bar. We welcome suggestions from you as to what you would like to see featured.
Do you have a bridal registry? Yes. We have a wonderful selection of unique housewares in all pricepoints just perfect for giving couples starting their married life together. We also offer gift certificates, gift wrapping, local delivery and lay-away. Of course we ship anywhere in the world.
Do you offer art classes for children? At various times of the year Gallery Janjobe offers workshops for both adults and children depending on the availability of instructors. Typically 3 or 4 classes will be offered at a time covering various media and techniques. Upcoming class announcements and details will be posted to this website so check back often for availability or you can contact us and ask to to be put on our mailing list.
